His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, patronized today, Tuesday, at the Emirate’s headquarters, the ceremony honoring the winners of the second edition of the “Human First” Humanitarian Work Award, launched by the Eastern Province branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
His Royal Highness praised the efforts of all those who applied for the award, affirming that such humanitarian initiatives contribute to serving every person living on this blessed land and address all segments and orientations of society. This comes in line with the directives of the wise leadership — may God preserve them — which consistently emphasize serving humanity without regard to any other considerations.
His Royal Highness stated:
“I am pleased to thank everyone who contributed to this award, including participants, winners, supporters, as well as the organizing and judging committees, for their role in the success of this edition. I also encourage everyone who has presented a humanitarian initiative or charitable work to continue contributing and presenting their initiatives, so that they may serve as a starting point for competition in doing good and for highlighting noble efforts in serving humanity.”
He added:
“The award bears the title ‘Human First,’ a well-known phrase mentioned in the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz — may God preserve him — through which he demonstrated his great concern for humanity and its service, placing it at the forefront of priorities.”
For his part, the Director General of the Eastern Province branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Abdulrahman bin Fahd Al-Muqbil, affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to activating such initiatives that bring tangible benefits to society, the region, and the nation as a whole. He emphasized that initiatives of this nature help build a conscious generation that feels capable of offering its best in serving humanity.
He commended the Kingdom’s pioneering role in humanitarian cooperation and in providing charitable works, humanitarian aid, and relief efforts worldwide. He also noted that the award is based on several core values, including recognizing efforts, creativity and innovation, impact and sustainability. The award includes four tracks: the Government Sector Track, the Non-Profit Sector Track, the Business Sector Track, and the Individuals Track.
Al-Muqbil expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province and his Deputy for the support and guidance extended to the award. He also thanked the partners in success: the Eastern Province Social Responsibility Council (Absar), the Institute of Public Administration in the region, the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce, and the Saad Al-Qanbar Foundation for Humanitarian Services.
